Unable to see Capabilities and Bugs in Hierarchy Tree in Jira Advanced Roadmap

Piyal Nanayakkara March 1, 2022
Hi
I have few Issues related to Jira Advanced Roadmap. I have a Jira board with different types of Jira issue like Capabilities. Epics, User Stories, Sub-Tasks and Bugs. When I use it as the data source for the Advanced Roadmap, I observed following issues
  • I cannot see Capabilities in the Hierarchy tree.
  • I cannot take bugs in the Epic child tree.  It has only Epic, User Story and Sub-Task Issues
Hope you could provide me the steps to resolve it 🙂
Regards
Piyal

Hi @Piyal Nanayakkara

What is the hierarchy of your Advanced Roadmaps. Also those other issue types like Initiative and Capability, are they from another project? In that case you can add that project to your plan source.

Hi Ravi

Thanks for the update.

Actually I have few Capabilities in the Plan source (i.e Jira Scrum board) but I need make such Capabilities as the Parent of existing Epics of the Plan.  Is there a way I can make a Capability Issue type as the top level item in the Hierarchy? Please note that I don't have admin rights to access Jira Admin Console :-)
