Hi all,
I have added in a new issue type to an existing projects issue type scheme. It has been associated to the default workflow in that project as well. However, it does not show in the issue type drop down when creating a new issue in that project.
Using Jira Software 8.5.3 and the issue type being added is custom made.
I have noticed there are other issue types in the issue type scheme that are also not showing up when creating a new issue. Has anyone experienced this before? This seems to be isolated to this one project, I have been adding issue types to other issue types schemes in other projects with no issue.
Cheers in advance
J
Hi @Jason Rogers,
Can you please check if the new issue type is standard or sub-task?
Sub-task issue types can't be created from the Create screen, you need to go to an existing issue and click on "Create sub-task":
Hope this helps!

Morning @Manon Soubies-Camy ,
Thanks for your reply. I have checked and the issue types are standard issue types.
Cheers

Hi @Jason Rogers,
Do you have any app like ScriptRunner installed? You may have a behavior restricting the issue types available to some users: Restricting Issue Types with ScriptRunner for Jira

I have checked and there was a Script Runner Behaviour set up to restrict the issue types available on issue creation. I'll have to find out who made it and go from there, but this will be the cause.
Thanks for your help!
