I have people on my team who are confused by the "All | Custom" options under the Configure field drop down within the Create issue modal. Is there a way to disable the Custom view option and always show All view?
I have people not seeing all the fields because it is set to Custom but claim they never set it to Custom.
Help please! This is causing a lot of headache.
You can have them all move over to the New Jira Issue View - that will take care of it. haha
I'm on the new JIRA issue view, but it still a problem. I'm not on a next gen project if that is what you are referring to. This is in the create issue modal form. Not sure the new JIRA issue view extends to it or not?

There is no All | Custom view in the New Jira View - all of the fields are shown all of the time. Can you provide a screenshot of what you are referring to?

Thanks for sharing the screenshot - very helpful! I did not realize they had added that to the New Jira Issue View - I rarely use it. I don't think you are going to be able to set that for users since it is configurable/changeable per user.
The best you can probably do is submit a Feature Request to Atlassian to see if they will change it.

Yeah, got multiple reports from people claiming they have never customized the view. Causing a lot of confusion.

Yeah, that's partly my fault for contributing to the confusion. The Old view always has had it since I have been using Jira in Cloud. But when they first rolled out the New view, it was not available. There were actually a lot of complaints about that, so I guess they ended up adding it. But I think it is only there for Create mode because there is no Edit mode in the new view.

I work on the server version. On the server, you don't have this option. I thought that this option is not possible on both
