I have a 2 projects one is JSM and one is JWM.
We Created Automation for Creating new issue when one Project is completed.
For Eg: JSM --> JWM
So I need the date to be captured when the project -1 (JSM) is getting completed and I need the date to be updated in JWM. How to achieve this ?
If it is possible to show the date in Custom field, then it would be helpful is showing Cards an add it board.
Hello @Spartans
When you say "project" are you actually referring to an individual issue? A Project in Jira is the entity that contains issues.
Please show us the automation rule you have created.
It is possible to make a change in issue 1 and have that change noted in issue 2 if there is a link between the two issues. Assuming that we are talking about issues and not Jira Projects, are you creating a link between these issues?
Automation we created just creates a new issue.
But I need to know the date when it completes to the "Done Stage" in Project One. And after that I can make it by Automation or any easy way or you can help me with that steps @Trudy Claspill

Please show us the automation rule you have created. What is triggering the creation of the issue?
If the rule to create the new issue is triggered when the first issue completes the "Done Stage", then the creation date of the new issue is the same as the date when the "Done Stage" of the original issue was completed.
Or does the original issue complete the "Done Stage" at some later date, after the new issue is created? If this is the case, are you creating a link between the original issue and the new issue when you create it?
