There is no "revert".  If you had kept a backup, you could change the workflow scheme to point to that instead of the new one you've now got.

Without a backup, you either have to re-create the desired flow and move back to it, or manually edit the workflow back to the previous shape.

One other possible option - if your previous workflow was one of the standard ones that Jira creates when you create a new project, then you can create a new project of the same type, then delete it.  You'll end up with a workflow for that new project that you can rename and migrate back to.

Hi @Arvind.Chourasia  - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

It depends on how you updated the workflow. If you simply changed, the workflow and did not keep a backup, you will need to change it back.

If you did a copy of the workflow first, you can sub out for the old workflow in the workflow scheme.

In System workflow deleted  "In Progress" status

& added new status in system workflow  " In Test Progress"  now I need to rever these processes.

So, I would add the In Progress status back into the workflow with a transition from the new In Test Progress status back to the In Progress status you are adding back it. You could even put a condition on that transition to only allow administrators to use it if that is not a direction you want other users to do in the future.

Once you get the workflow updated and in place, then you can do a Bulk Change to transition all of the ones in the In Test Progress status back to the In Progress status.

I hope that helps!

Thank you, John, your quick reply.

but where I can modify any project system workflow or create a new demo project and update system workflow.

previously I don't have "In Test Progress" workflow status quickly I have created but now "In Test Progress"  & "In progress" status both due to this unable to updated workflow status.

If you changed the workflow the first time, you simply change it again the same way you changed the workflow the first time.

But it is settings > issues > workflows

The other option is to create a new workflow with the statuses exactly as you want them, and then update the Workflow Scheme attached to the project with the new workflow to replace the current workflow. If you do not include the Test status then you will be asked to move those issues in that status currently to a different status that exists in the workflow. If the Test status is still in the new workflow, you will need to do a bulk change to move them to the right status.

Did you opt to keep a backup when you started editing the workflow?
