Upgrading SQL Server JIRA v7.7.1

Kenneth Macsay March 5, 2018

We recently upgraded to

JIRA v7.7.1

We have a SQL Server 2008 R2 Database and see that it is not supported and want to upgrade it to SQL Server 2012.  Is this pretty much a straight forward process.  Meaning, all I have to do is upgrade my SQL installation and that's it or will I need to do something on the Jira end?

Assuming you are not changing the Jira version, you're fine.  Stop Jira, upgrade the database (after taking a backup, of course), then restart Jira, pointing to the newly upgraded one (if you've moved it, check the content of jira-home/dbconfig.xml )

Thanks for your advice.  The upgrade went smooth
