Use condition in notification scheme

Daniel Garcia

This question was asked here https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Use-condition-in-notification-scheme/qaq-p/332038 but never answered.

as @Nic Brough -Adaptavist-  said

If event X happens, then mail people matching condition Y

Lets say your notification scheme has the rule

if event "Issue Updated (System)" happens then mail "Current Assignee" and "All Watchers"

now let's say you wanted something a little less broad for the event

Issue Updated, but not if the issuetype=="defect" or Subject contains the word "blue" or the only field edited was "Labels"

What would be the best approach for tackling this?

You can write Automation rule based on these saying that 25.JPG

right now there is no option send a mail to watchers (correct me If I'm wrong)

I suspected as much. Disable the notification and do something yourself. I use scriptrunner but the concept is the same..
