User Default Settings from User Interface - Default user preferences

Imdad KP May 28, 2018

Hi Team,

As part of the bulk data migration into Jira from RTC, we have few number of people in jira-administrators group. Recently someone changed settings in Default outgoing email format . I am not able to track the changes or can't find it in any Logs. I have recreated the changes still its not shows in the log. Is there anyway to find out who changed the settings?

Hello,

You can have a look at the audit log. But Jira's audit log does not catch all possible events.

About Jira's audit log you can read here:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/audit-log-829076528.html

If you can not find the required information in Jira's audit log, you can try this plugin:

http://www.enhancera.com/jira/auditor/tour.html

This plugin catches much more Jira events.

Yes. I have recreated the same event in Test Environment, but no sign in Audit Log or Jira Log.

I personaly did not try the plugin. You can not find the past event because as you found out there is no info in the the Jira audit log.
