User Story Board Error - 400 The operator 'in' is not supported by the 'Epic Link' field.

Jake Hall May 9, 2022

I'm not sure what happened but I am now no longer able to access the Story Mapping Board in my project. When I do it directly from the side panel, it just displays the loading animation endlessly, when I access it from the Backlog screen and select Go to Story Map I get the error:

Can't load User Story Map!

400 The operator 'in' is not supported by the 'Epic Link' field.

Possibly you don't have access to the project or it was deleted. Please check the filter in board configuration.

I've checked my filter for the board and don't see an 'in' operator and not sure what else to look at.

Have you tried creating a new board with the same filter to see if it works?

and/or opening the filter itself to see if it returns issues?

I've since uncovered that it's not working with any of our projects or boards - the filter for the board works fine and doesn't include the 'in' operator referenced in the error message

"it's not working with any of our projects or boards"

Does this mean that no boards are working on any of your projects?

Jake Hall May 10, 2022

No User Story Map Boards are working, regular Scrum/Kanban boards are working just fine, but when trying to go to the Story Map Board it fails with the error I referenced

Could you try creating a new filter (it's fine to be an exact copy of the one that exists currently, just make it a new filter with a new ID) and then create a new board from this new filter?
