User mention in comment section not updated with new email address

Hello

 

We recently changed our domain and migrated our email addresses (the user profiles updated accordingly). However, this seems to not have updated the "@" user mention in the comment section - it displays the old email address in red (see attached). Is this by design?

Hi Rethabile,
