User not available as assignee

Dear Jira colleagues,

I have an issue using Jira version 7.6.4, i have a project in Jira and i'm trying to set an Assignee to it, the user i'm trying to assign is in the Jira-User group,  project role users have permissions to be assigned and administrators or developers have permissions to set an assignee.

i have checked all permission and it seem to be right but i cant find this Jira-user via the assignee drop down or when i search the whole name, this user is the reporter for this ticket.

any suggestion on how to find the reason why this does not work.

Hi Tomas,

From the above, I can see that user have added to all the permission.

Check the user have "Assignable Users" permissions in the project permission scheme.

Check for the "Browse Projects" permissions too.

If still the user not available for you to choose, you would need to run JIRA Indexing :)

I have check and, yes users have the ability to brows, but are not aloud to edit an ticket, 

so i believe that this is the reason why i'm not able to assignee a users,
