Hi There - looking for advice.
On JIRA traditional workflows (not next gen) I have Epics configured to show on the kanban board (not backlog view). I don't want to see the stories on the board as cards in this view. This should maen I only have a small number of cards where they are all epics on my board.
I click on a epic card, it opens the right sidebar preview pane for the epic.
Expected - the child issues are shown in the right sidebar under the description of the epic.
Actual - the issue links display, but the child issues do not display. I am unable to preview the stories within an epic in the right sidebar.
Question - How do I get the child issues to display within an epic preview when viewing the preview sidebar window from within the Kanban board mode?
Hi @Rach
In classic view this isn't possible - child issues do not display here. See JSWCLOUD-13769 for details on this suggestion.
They do show up in the new issue view though - to activate this:
You may find when activating the new view, that clicking on an Epic adds a pop-up box over the board rather than the side-panel. To change this, select options (upper-right, 3-dots button) and choose "Open issues in sidebar"

It is not workaround, new view doesn't allow to open sub tasks under different projects. I don't get it please advise.

When you say the new view doesn't allow you to open sub-tasks under different projects, what do you mean? What are you trying to view here?
