Hello!
I am trying to set a transition between status "Not estimated" and status "Backlog".
However, I can not do that - Im getting an error. There are screenshots below.
Why I can not do this, and what should I do so I get that transition?
Thanks in advance.
I believe this is an outstanding bug in Jira. See info here:
Can you try to workaround as suggested in the article?
Thank you! That worked!
I did the following:
1. Copied current workflow
2. Created the transition I needed
3. Assigned that workflow to my Scheme instead of the original one
HOWEVER
Then I tried to create new status and new transition in the new workflow.
And got the same error.
I tried to do that in one another workflow and also got that error there.
It looks bad if I will get that bug over and over again.
Creating statuses and transitions is a basic operation, it looks insane if I will have to make such complicated actions every time I wanna update my workflow.
How can we fix it permanently?

As I mentioned, this is a known bug. It is down to Atlassian to fix.

@Pete Singleton so, !!every time!! I wanna update the workflow - I have to make all these steps to avoid that bug?

There's only three steps - copy the workflow, edit the workflow, apply the workflow to the scheme. And the bug only applies to certain types of edit.
