Want to auto update Start Date field when Story (Issue Type) is moved to Sprint?

Hello Sachin,

Just to better understand your request, the "Start Date" field you have mentioned is a custom field you created or one of JIRA default field?

Although JIRA does not have an inbuilt functionality to perform it, there are some plugins that you can use to achieve that.

My recommendation is Automation for JIRA, which has a simple structure easy to configure.

To update a story when a field value change (Sprint) using Automation for JIRA, you can configure a rule like this:

Thank you for your suggestion. But we are not using (Automation for Jira) this add-on.

Is there any other way to implement it? Using Script runner plugin?
