Want to make a custom field un editable in the issue

Hi 

We are using Jira cloud and I want make a few fields un editable in the issue(without using script runner). how to make fields un editable. please give me solution.

Hi @Vishnu Vardhan Chenna ,

If you remove the field from the Edit screen, the field will not be editable. 

i.e. Go to project settings --> Screens

Click on screen listed against "Edit issue" action

Remove the field. 

If the same screen is used in View and Create screens, then you need to copy the screen, map it to the edit issue of the ticket type in the project.
