We would like to know the project limit for the Xray plugin.

We have already installed the XRAY plugin, but we need to know its limitations. Specifically, how many projects can we enable it for?
Does the plugin have a project limit?
Is there any additional cost if the limit is exceeded?

Licensing for market place apps is based on the number of users in your Jira instance. It does not have limitations based on the number of projects you have, nor additional costs for using it with an increasing number of projects.

Licensing costs only increase as you add more users to Jira and land in a higher user tier of the product. XRay (and other marketplace apps you may have) will need to be upgraded to that higher tier at that point as well.

There is no project limit, but only a license limit as described by @Walter Buggenhout 

You can use Xray in any Jira project that you create.
