Periodically in /var/atlassian/application-data/jira/log/atlassian-jira.log there is the following
Caesium-1-1 INFO ServiceRunner [c.a.j.p.h.service.connect.InstallGlancesJobHandler]
Running InstallGlancesJobHandler...
Caesium-1-1 INFO ServiceRunner [c.a.j.p.h.service.connect.InstallGlancesJobHandler]
There is no link to HipChat, no need to install glances.
What is it? Why is it running?
EDIT: On the Scheduler Administration page I can see there are three HipChat jobs
CompatibilityPluginScheduler.JobRunnerKey.com.atlassian.jira.plugins.hipchat.service.connect.InstallGlancesJobHandler
CompatibilityPluginScheduler.JobRunnerKey.com.atlassian.jira.plugins.hipchat.service.connect.UpdateGlancesDataJobHandler
CompatibilityPluginScheduler.JobRunnerKey.com.atlassian.jira.plugins.hipchat.service.ping.RefreshConnectionStatusJobHandler
Since I don't use HipChat how can I disable these jobs?
Okay I simply needed to disable the HipChat for JIRA Add-on.
I didn't realize that there is a drop down to view all Add-ons, I was only seeing user installed Add-ons.
Exactly. And in case someone comes here while following the atlassian plugin guideline, notice that when you see these logs, the server is already running.
