We just acquired a company and are looking at moving their Jira projects (2) into our Jira instance. I have found many different articles out there that describe different ways to do that as well as one that states this isn't possible so a littel confused at this point how to proceed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I am interested in merging two of our Jira instances, but the links mentioned in the comments are no longer accessible. Can someone please provide updated documentation or some general advice on how to merge Jira instances? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I invite you to read the official atlassian documentation

Cheers

Thanks for the reply.
That doesn't really align with this article though - https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/migrate-projects-from-one-jira-cloud-site-to-another-779160766.html
That makes me think you should just be able to go to the backup manager of one instance and then do an import in the other, no?

In case you are specifically referring to the import described on this page please be warned that this route will imply data loss on the target instance - so this is only suitable for empty destinations.
If this is not the case the link that Vero sent you is the way to go.
The process itself currently is not very easy but is undergoing improvement, hopefully in future there are updates and a merge can easier be handled.
