This is a question that needs more context.  Without knowing what you are thinking of changing, and a lot of detail on the Jira system you are going to change, we cannot tell you more than "everything".

You might need to update people, fields, screens, schemes, workflows, and, and, and.  If you want this question answered, you need to tell us what the workflow changes might be.

I accidentally posted one question. Here is the complete question:

What are the features, uses, limitations/restrictions of workflow changes, especially the Simplified Workflow?

  1. Who can change the Simplified Workflow? What are the limitations on changes to the Simplified Workflow?
  2. What changes can be performed on statuses and transitions?
  3. What things may need to be updated as a result of workflow changes of any kind?

Have a read through https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/working-with-workflows-938847362.html for an understanding of the basics of workflows in Jira, then move on to https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwareserver/using-the-simplified-workflow-938845286.html to see how a simplified flow is a bit different

What are the limitations on changes to the Simplified Workflow?

- Couldn't find a confirm answer in the given link

What changes can be performed on statuses and transitions?

- Couldn't find a confirm answer in the given link

What things may need to be updated as a result of workflow changes of any kind?

- Projects and/or issue types - I want to confirm these are the only things needs to be updated or there are other things as well? Please advise

Please read the links again, the answers are in there (although we're happy to explain if you don't understand something)

Dude, I read the link and posted those questions. If you do not want to help please stop answering here. There are other people in this community which can help rather being sarcastic If someone is new to JIRA.

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- I am pretty sure, you have close my question twice. You shouldn't be a community leader who takes things personally.

I am sorry, I should explain.

The follow-up questions you have asked are not specific enough to be answered.  They are answered in the documents pointed to, but if you are not finding them, you need to be more specific.

For example, there's only one answer to "What things may need to be updated as a result of workflow changes of any kind?", and that is "almost everything in Jira".  It totally depends on what you're trying to achive by changing the workflow.  A workflow change could mean you need to change fields, projects, issue types, users, email settings, listeners, plugins, and and and and...  Although it is more the other way around - your workflow changes should be driven by what you are trying to achieve, and that might need changes to lots of things, including workflow.

The others:

"Limitations on changes to simplified workflow":  Invert the question to "what can I do with" or "what are the benefits of" a simplified workflow, and then read the simplified workflow doc again.

"Changes to status and transition" - I'm afraid that very much is answered by the workflow docs.  They tell you everything you can do.
