When an issue automatically transitions, how do I automatically assign subtasks?

I have the rule set up when I manually transition an issue, Jira will automatically assign the subtasks, but when the transition happens through automation, it won't assign the subtasks. Any advice?

Hi @Jess Sherman -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

When you have a rule which does some action (e.g. issue transition) and you want that to be able to trigger a different rule, the second/downstream rule needs to enable the option "Allow Rule Trigger".  That is in the details at the top of the rule.

This option is disabled by default to prevent errors and runaway rule execution.
