When closing a sprint, Jira also moves "done" issue to the new sprint

We are facing a strange behavior when closing a sprint.

We are expecting that "done" issues will not be moved to the next sprint, and only !(done) will be moved.

But for several sprints now we discovered that also "done" issues are moved to the next sprint.

To close a sprint we go to the "Active Sprints" page and click the "Complete Sprint" button.

Are we doing something wrong?

Are your Done issues in the most right column in the board, when you close a sprint?

The issues from the previous sprint as well or only the new ones?

Are you setting resolution on the issues you consider "done"?  You'll want to make sure you're always setting a resolution when moving to done either through a screen or automatically via a post function.

Also, you will also want to check that all subtasks are closed with resolutions also.

Yes, all these issues have a "done" resolution. It is a mandatory field when solving an issue.
