When emails is sent with the same subject line (without the JIRA key number), Jira Mail Handler creates new issue every time.

 

When users send an email it creates the initial ticket. When another user send a second email with the same exact subject (user part of mail thread in the original mail ) it will create a new ticket. 

 

We would like to filter out issues based on subject line (even if there is no key ) and compare that with existing tickets and not create a new ticket if the same subject line exists.

This is what will happen for sure. You might check the marketplace for an email handler addon app but unsure if one exists for this specific scenario.
