Where can I find translation file?

NSPK November 20, 2018

Hello!

When setting the system language as Russian, the system field "Created" is translated wrongly. The first character is using English "C" rather than the Russian character. This causes issues when trying to search for the word via CTRL + F and typing using Russian characters.

I have created ticket in Atlassian https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWSERVER-19752.

Can I, as a temporary solution, manualy fix it in JIRA Server files? Where can I find this files?

Best regards, Kirill.

Hi Kirill,

First of all, thanks for reporting this initially through Atlassian Support. The ticket you've linked to should help our translators get this right in a future version of Jira.

In the meantime, you can modify the translation file and upload it back to Jira. This isn't officially supported by Atlassian as we can't verify all the translations are correct - if we are able to verify changes, they make it into future versions of Jira!

The steps for making your own translation are here:

 1. Start by downloading the language file for Jira Software for the country/language and Jira version you're using
 2. Unpack the jar file and modify the strings.
 3. Pack everything back into a jar file.
 4. Upload jar file using Jira plugin manager.

Hope this helps and let us know if you run into issues!

Cheers,
Daniel

Hi Daniel!

Thank you so much for your help!

I really finded this string

issue.field.created=Cоздано

in file jira-core-language-pack-ru_RU-7.12.1.v20180831091209.jar by path

/com/atlassian/jira/web/action/JiraWebActionSupport_ru_RU.properties

After changing and uploaded changed version - problem is gone.
