Where does the approvers list come from in a Tempo Timesheet?

We have used Timesheets (Cloud) for years, but are only now needing to implement the submission/approval process.

I've set up our teams and tested submitting a timecard, but I'm seeing two approvers as a choice in my card that I'm not expecting.

When I try to submit my card, this is what I see:

Janet is the lead of one of the teams I'm on and would expect to see her as an approver; the other team I'm a member of does not have a lead. Can someone help me figure out where Jeff and Samantha are coming from? Each is a member of a group (different groups) that have Tempo Administrator access (including Tempo Account Admin and Tempo Team Admin) in the global permissions, but there are other members of both of those groups who are not showing up as approvers, so I'm confused.

ETA that all of our users are seeing Jeff and Samantha as approvers, no matter what team they are on and who the other "real" approver is.

Hi Ester,

Jeff and Samantha are on the approver lists because they are either a Team Lead on another team you are a part of, or they have the approve timesheet permission in the team permission settings.

My recommendation would be to ignore Jeff and Samantha as approvers and submit to Janet, or configure your Team permissions if that applies. I hope this helps in any case. Cheers.

ETA: never mind; I found it. Click the cog icon in the actual team. Thanks.

Thanks, Mike. I'm fine with ignoring them, but it's confusing to our users.

Neither Samantha nor Jeff is a team lead. Where would I find the "approve timesheet" permission? When I click on the Team permissions section, the "click here" just takes me to the list of teams; it doesn't show any kind of permissions anywhere.

Yes, I can understand how it can get confusing. Here is a link to Tempo's Help Center where you can find how to configure the permission, along with other helpful information. Cheers.
