Where is the Issues Option?

Legacy Jira had a primary option called Issues that could be filtered based on selections (e.g., fix version or status or type). I used it all the time. Where is it or its new equivalent? I tried filters on list, but its almost unusable.  If this is 'it', how can I learn how to use this currently problematic feature? So far :( on new Ux, but its mostly looking for legacy features that were part of my every day.

Are you wanting to look for filters for issues? Issues are now called as "Work type" and they have all same status as before. the Issues link on the top navigation bar is replaced with Filters and is found on the side navigation.

I'm not sure. Where is Work Type? I cannot find it.  Issues used to be an option on the left. I looked both on left and new top header, but it's not visible.
