I'm looking at my scrum board reports and there's no velocity chart
If I manually change the url from /burndown-chart to /velocity-chart I can see the charts, but why isn't it in the links on the left hand side?
I've found the issue. When the board is located in my account instead of located in a project, it shows the menu in the issue. I tried creating a new board with the same filter but located in a randomly chosen project and I can see all the reports. Worryingly though, I tried to move the existing board to a random project and it seems to have broken the side bar in Jira completely. Thankfully I still have the page open to edit the board and move it back which has resolved the broken side bar.
How do we go about reporting this bug to Atlassian as the reports should work regardless of where the board is located?
Hi @Sam , let me see if I am getting this correct.
ultimately, I think your observations are centered around, trying to combine different project types under a single board. Some of the project types do not play well together, such as TMP and business.
in any case, if you wish to file a support case with Atlassian, you can do so here Atlassian Support . Note that you will need to be listed as a Technical contact under your instance to open a support issue.

Here is the error
Refreshing the page shows the same error. I think it's trying to load the board related menu from the old location maybe and causing this error.
If i open a new tab and find the board again, it's showing ok.

Hi @Sam
If you are using a team-managed project (TMP) with a scrum board (sprints enabled), I believe the Velocity chart will not display in that list until you have completed your first sprint. Have you completed any sprints yet?
Kind regards,
Bill

Hello @Sam
I am also using the Free version of Jira Software, and my screen doesn't look quite the same as yours when I select the Reports option from a Scrum board (associated with a Company Managed Software project). Can you show us the entire navigation pane? This is what I see:
Did you select the Report option while viewing a Scrum board?
If so, what was the filter for that Scrum board? I find that the options that come up under Reports are different based on the issues and project types included in the filter.
Is the filter for the board specifying a single project, or does it include issues from multiple projects? Can you show us the filter for the board?

When I have a board that is selecting all issues in my Jira system (which include Company Managed and Team Managed projects, and Software, Service, and Business projects) I find that the list of options under Reports is affected.
What types of projects are being included in your filter?
- Company and/or Team Managed?
- Software and/or Service and/or Business?
Even with that sort of filter selected, starting from a board associated with a Company Managed Software project, I still see the board that I was viewing listed in the navigation pane.

I only have setup company managed software projects in the filter:

I assume this is a CMP SW project? Does the option show in the right hand screen?

@Sam , I noted that you replied to Trudy that your board filter was for "all projects and issues", do I have this correct. Can you verify this as I suspect that, should this be the case, then it may be culprit. There may be a mix of project type here. Can you share your board's filter here?
