Can you give us the payload of your post request?

Make sure you follow the API documentation to create your request:

• https://docs.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/api/REST/9.3.1/#project-createProject

You can also check your Jira server logs while you perform the request. Perhaps you can see the error in there.

I'm not sure what you meant by that.

So are you using Atlassian Cloud? The question was marked with jira-server that's why I sent you the server REST API which is different.

If you can show us the actual request you're making I might be able to help.
