Why am I unable to add a new customer email for this customer?

What happens when you try?

The email gets added + then vanishes almost instantaneously (after I do a refresh of the page @Trudy Claspill )

I don't have an answer for you yet, but I see a very similar questions has been asked elsewhere. You might want to Watch this question in case an answer gets posted there.

This seems to have fixed itself now FWIW @Trudy Claspill - not sure how or why, mind you!
