Why are Teams showing twice in the dropdown ?

In the Team field why are the team names are showing twice in the dropdown selection list?

Hi Patricia,

It looks like you're dealing with duplicated teams, not just in the dropdown. As you can see, "CS2G" has 11 members in the first option and 10 members in the second. Also, the icon colors are different, meaning they are separate teams.

You can check all your teams and manage the duplicates by accessing "Teams" → "Search people and teams."

I saw that and when I look at all Teams, all have been duplicated and for that specific team it looks like a member was added, they probably didn't know which of the 2 to join and just picked 1. 

Any idea what would have happened to duplicate all of the teams?

Perhaps a clue - Some of the duplicate teams have "Migrated from the our URL Advanced Roadmap site" in the team description field.

Oh yeah, when you use JCMA (Jira Cloud Migration Assistant) for migration within the same organization, it duplicates the teams since teams are tied to the organization, not a specific instance.
