Why are my tickets disappearing from the board?

Laura Morgan July 12, 2022

I have columns called "Ready for release", "To test in live" and "Done" on my scrum board. The last is mapped to a resolution of "Done"; the first two to "In progress", but when I move anything into any of those three statuses, it disappears from the board. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Laura,

A couple of things to check.

1. Look at the Board Settings of the board to see if those statuses are mapped to columns on your board.

2. Look at the board filter and sub-filter in the Board Settings to see if the filter might be excluding those statuses for some reason.

Thanks - is this under "Configure board"? If it's relevant, the board was originally created as a Kanban board in a team-managed project, then I switched on the backlog and sprints features to start using it as a scrum board.

So, it's a Team-managed project. That you "converted" to scrum more or less. Not sure how all of that works, but do you have the ability to add a column to the board? If so, I would try to add a column for Backlog and see what happens.

You might need create a fresh project for Scrum from scratch and move the issues over to it. Do you have many custom fields?

No we don't, so I'll give that a go, thanks. Yes, I can add and remove columns so will also try that suggestion.
