I have a filter set to include certain assigned labels, but the filter is also including labels I did not select in the pie chart gadget. I've checked to make sure they aren't pre-selected in the filter and attached screen shots. Still, they are showing up in the dashboard. I really only need the labels I've selected to show and not the additional ones like (alpha) to pop up. Any suggestions for a fix? Thank you!
Hi @Lauren Morgan ,
As @Jack Brickey said, with the built-in Jira pie chart there's no way to exclude labels you don't want to display.
However, I might be able to help with this request. We've added a feature to our Jira pie charting app Custom Charts for Jira that allows you to show/hide individual labels without changing the JQL.
You can test the app out right now on our free interactive playground: https://www.oldstreetsolutions.com/custom-charts-for-jira
You can also select the colors of each segment, re-order them and group multiple options together :)
There's also a companion Confluence app that has identical features so you can add high quality custom pie charts to your Confluence pages.

the filter is returning issues that contain the selected labels. However, some of the issues also include other labels. When you use the pie-chart and choose labels as the metric all labels associated w/ the issues returned by your filter will be included. You can't exclude the other labels.
I hope this makes sense but if not let me know.

Is this being looked into for a future enhancement? As Ideally, this filter should only return labels that are selected to be displayed.
