Hi, we recently upgraded our Big Picture plug-in to the latest compatible version, only for the Big Picture Gadget to not display, and present a 405 error, but only for certain users? I have checked the permissions of the users, and they are the same as myself, yet I can still view the BP gadget?
Hi @Karl Samson
HTTP 405 errors are often hard to troubleshoot. It could be many things starting from a problem on the server ending on internet provided that is blocking specific actions..
The symptom that it is only for specific users means that you have to find what connects them.. Do they use same browser, network? Maybe are from same location? You can ask them to change those things, try different browser, laptop or network.. see then if anything helped.
Overall for Jira there is a KB related to those kind of errors

Maybe it would be helpful for you specific case. It is a good thing to start. Basically the thing to try is to clear cache and see if that helps or would show different behavior.
If nothing would help I suggest to contact BigPicture support for direct assistance.
Hi Mirek, thanks for the above. It gave us food for thought, and what we found was the issue was down to Browser cache or versions of a Browser. As if the same Dashboard gadget was brought up in Edge instead of Chrome for a certain user, the error went away.
