Why are some issues not shown in the list in Active Sprints view?

Why are some issues shown as 'cards' and some shown as 'list' in the Active Sprints view?  We would like all issues in the sprint to be shown in the list, as the top ones are in this image.  Why are the issues listed below "Other Issues 25", listed like that and not as a list?

Hi Scott,

This particular way these issues are being organized is being governed by the board settings.  If you are a board admin here, you go to the ... menu in the top right corner, and select Board settings.  From there go to Swimlanes.  I'm betting that your board is setup to use swimlanes based on Stories.  In this setup, all the issues in the sprint that contain 1 or more subtasks will appear above the other issues.  You can expand that > before the icon/issue key in order to see all the subtasks that exist under that specific story.

These other issues in the Other Issues swimlane are issues without any subtasks.  That setting is explained in the swimlane options in settings:

Group sub-tasks under their parent issue. Issues without sub-tasks will be shown in their own group at the bottom.

I hope this helps to clarify why this behaves this way.  In this case, you can use the ... -> Expand all swimlanes.  When you do this, you will see the subtasks under those parent stories and then can see what status each falls into.  Right now in your screenshot, we can't actually see what status each subtask currently has.

Regards,

Andy

That explains why it is this way, is there also an option to not group the issue without a subtask in the 'other' lane. Because now we need to add an empty subtask to all stories to get the right list.

For us the top list is sorted on priority and with halve the task in the other lane there is no clear way to see the order apart from navigating away to the backlog tab. So all sorted without other lane would be perfect

The same complaint here.
This "Other issues" group breaks my priority list view in the active sprint.
Is there any plan on developing an option to avoid this behavior?
