I have a project for which I'm an administrator, and just in the last week, I can no longer release issues from the "Done" column of my Kanban board. I was last able to release issues on 12/12/2018, but I recently noticed the "Release" button no longer appears on my board.
I have a colleague who can see the release button, but the button is disabled for him, as he is not a board or project administrator.
I am a board, project, and Jira administrator and have not updated my permissions since this problem started.
How can I get the release button to show up on my board again?
@Aaron Rucker See if the below post on Atlassian Community is helpful for troubleshooting your case: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/What-are-the-minimum-privileges-necessary-to-do-a-release-on-a/qaq-p/638216
Thanks. Ended up not being related to permissions. I just had to click on the "Show menus" button. It's really weird that choosing to show or hide the menus on the left determines if the release button is shown, especially since in the new design, the left nav menus are always available anyway.
Thanks anyway.
