We have a user that is unable to create sprints for a project he is an admin of. I used the Permissions Helper to identify any gaps in permissions, and verified that he has the Manage Sprint permission which should allow him to create new sprints in his project.
Is there any other reason he wouldn't be able to create sprints? Does he need to be an administrator of the board?
Hello @Krista Nicol
Sprints are created from Boards and Boards are based on filters. Does the user have the Manage Sprint permission in all the projects within the scope of the board filter? Can you share that filter with us?
The filter only includes issues from the project that he's an administrator on. He is also an administrator of the board that he's trying to create sprints off of.

Update: the user apparently updated the filter query before I checked it - it previously contained stories from other project. This was the issue! Thanks so much.

My guess is since permissions check out with the permission helper that it maybe a kanban board and not a scrum board.

It's a Scrum project, which is why I'm confused as to why he doesn't have access despite having the manage sprint permission.

The projects sidebar looks similar to the one below?
