hi @Jack Hunter [HeroCoders] ,
You are correct. I didn't notice before that the project i am working on is next-gen project..
is it because of that i am not getting add log option?
i read somewhere that estimation feature is not added to next -gen projects

@samitha, that's correct. Next-Gen projects lack time tracking at the moment. You can vote the following issue: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17447
In the meantime, you can try one of the time tracking apps from Atlassian Marketplace. You might want to pick the one that stores time tracking in Jira worklog so you can switch back to Jira time tracking when it is available in Next-Gen.
I can propose Clockwork (time entries are stored in Jira so you are safe). There are few others, e.g. Tempo (not sure where Tempo stores time entries though).
I hope it helps.
Cheers,
Jack

Hi @samitha
Globally, your jira administrator should first enable the time tracking feature in JIRA. If done, you will also need 'Work on issues' permission in the project to perform this action.
There are also other scenarios causing this .Find more details in https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/unable-to-log-work-224400725.html

Hi @Fazila Ashraf ,
I already tried the above steps, enabling time tracking feature and 'work on issues' permission. But not worked.
Let me go through the link above
