I created a custom issue type and a number of custom fields that have the 'paragraph' field type which should allow me to do more editing (like bolding text and adding bullet points etc.) which some of my custom fields allow but some don't. Why is this? As they were set up the same way and are the same field type.
@Johanna Malchow welcome to the Community! Silly question ~ if you click on the "Campaign Review" field, do you see the format menu? It disappears when you Save, Cancel or navigate away from it, which is why it's showing for "Testing Requirements" in your screenshot.

if you still don't see it, can you confirm that the field type is "Text Field (multi-line)" (and not "Text Field (single line)" for both in the admin Custom Fields screen?

Hi @Johanna Malchow , welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your question.
Are you working in a team-managed or a company-managed project?
Could you share an anonymised screen of an example issue so we can see what you mean?
Best wishes

Team-managed project, you can see the 'campaign review' and 'testing requirements' fields look different but they are set up the same in the settings
