Why does it say that there is 433 issues without parent at the bottom of the page? When i click into one of those issues a parent/epic link is assigned.
Hello @Kenneth Lennon
Welcome to the community.

There are many screens in the Jira Software application. Can you provide a full screen image?
As to whether you are using Jira Cloud or Jira Server/Data Center, if you are using Jira Cloud then the URL will be https://<something>.atlassian.net/... If you are using Jira Server/Data Center then at the bottom of many screen you will see a footer with the Jira version information. That version information does not display in Jira Cloud instances.

I am guessing that the screen you are using is for a roadmap feature. That might be Portfolio for Jira or Advanced Roadmaps, or some third party product. Without knowing the details of what screen you are viewing, and from what feature/app it is generated, it is not possible to provide an explanation for what you are seeing.
Have you tried contacting the Jira support team for your Jira instance? Does your company have a support organization for your Jira instance?

Is the roadmap based on a Project or a Filter? For the issues in the "issues without parent" list, are their parent Epics within the scope of the Project (or Filter) used to generate the roadmap?
