When setting a holiday on Big Picture Holiday Plans, when it's saved, the day moves to the left, hence one day earlier. Once you save the calendar, sometimes all days move an additional day to the left. Now it's 2 days off. Sometimes the dates show as correct on the left under Floating Holiday. But once it's saved again, the dates again move to the left.
We're unable to figure this out. Cannot find any settings although to the left of < 2020 > under Edit details there is what looks like a cog. When you hover over it, you get a hand but other than that, it does nothing.
We've checked documentation but no answers. Is anyone else having this issue? We're using version 7.5, Jira server v. 8.3.x on a closed network.
Hello Deborah
This 'cog' icon means 'Go to today', in other words to the current year. If you are standing on the 2019 calendar, and today it's 2020, pressing that icon will bring you back to 2020 calendar view. I marked that icon in the below picture.
I was trying to recreate the self-shifting holidays problem, and I wasn't able to recreate this, I'm feeling that it has to do with switching between years. For instance, while on the 2020 calendar, you set a fixed holiday on Thursday, 13 Feb 2020. When you switch your view to 2019, you will see that recurring holiday "one day earlier", on Wednesday, 13 Feb 2019. This is my guess. If this scenario is true than BigPicture works ok. If not, I would email support@softwareplant.com, because I cannot recreate the thing. Or please post some screenshots here, for me to better understand the problem.
Thank you for your answer which I'm sure works. However, we upgraded to the newest version of Big Picture April 1 and this solved the problem for us.
