What's the weird Kudos thing that has appeared in my JIRA?
I haven't signed for it but I keep receiving the weird spam-like messages from the Atlassian Community like these:
What's going on here? What are these and how can I not receive them anymore?
A new pilot program was started to change the way recognition is awared in the community. A random group of users was added intially and were automatically watching the group.
They changed it now so you have to opt-in to the group instead of getting forced in to it.
if you are still in the old group you can go to your groups and just leave/unwatch and the emails will stop.

@Dirk Ronsmans But I haven't done anything! The emails were just going into my inbox without me even being a member of a group. That's really a weird scenario.

No, you were in the group, they then got complaints and removed the group/created a new one.

@Dirk RonsmansI have not neither signed up for nor unsubscribed from that group, so I just don't get it.

Like i said in my initial post..
You were automatically added to the group by Atlassian as they randomly selected users to add to the pilot group.
As the the complaints came.. the group was removed (and thus also your subscription)

@Dirk Ronsmans Looks like not the best idea to randomly force someone to be a member of some group. They should've sent an invitation or something at least. Anyway... Got it. Thank you for clearing that out.

Indeed, that is why they moved to an opt-in group.
