Hello @Martin_Kirk,

Issue Checklist Free is a completely free version of the Issue Checklist Pro app.

Both versions when installed are ready to use without any configuration required - just go to the Jira issue page and start using it.

In case of any questions or assistance required, we are happy to help.

Cheers,
Jack

Dear @Martin_Kirk,

I cannot answer your question, because we as Community Champions are not responsible for the road map of Jira Cloud.

Best you raise a suggestion at https://jira.atlassian.com

But while you are waiting for the implementation, you can create a couple of custom fields on your own and add them to the screen of one of your issue types:

  1. Go to Settings > Issues
  2. Click on Custom Fields
  3. "Add Custom Field" (upper right corner)
  4. Select as field type "Checkboxes" -> Next
  5. Name your checkbox custom field and ...
  6. ... add as many options your checklist requires
  7. Create
  8. Select the screens where this new field should appear
  9. Update

Done - your Checklist is ready to be used.

So long

Thomas

I believe this only works for specific, repeatable generic checkboxes.. eg: "published", "tested", "approved by xx" ...

What i'd like is something like subtasks that you define yourself, that breaks down the story/task into smaller tasks that you can easily check off..

I guess the case against checkboxes is the ability to delete them or traceability, given that checkboxes doesn't get into the "flow" the same way as a subtask ....
