We are trying to edit the fields like "dev estimate", "original estimate" in the ticket but we can't able to edit the fields. We have all required privileges to edit the ticket. Earlier we were able to edit the ticket. But now we are not able to edit the tickets from the last 2 weeks. Can you please check and advice.
Note: The hosting type is "server".
Hello @Santhosh Gosula
This is a community of users of our own Jira products. We don't have access to your system so we cannot check anything on it directly.
There are many things that Jira Administrators could have changed in your system that would result in you being unable to change field values. Have you contact the Jira Administrators for your system to ask about this?
Hello @Trudy Claspill
Thanks for your words.
Actually we are the Jira Administrators. Even we are also not able to edit the fields.
We found this message in the "Epic" field while updating the ticket. Please suggest, is this the reason to not able to edit the ticket fields. Please find the screenshot for the same.
We were not able to edit the fields even removing the Epic field from the edit screen.
Please suggest on my request.

The message that shows in the screen for the Epic field is legitimate. You can't assign a sub-task type issue to an Epic. But that message should not prevent you from editing other fields and saving your changes.
What happens when you try to edit other fields? Are you able to click in the fields? Are you able to change the values?
Can you then click the Update button? If so, what happens then?

Hello Trudy Claspill,

* Yes, I can able to change the field values but when I click on the update button nothing happened.

Are there any other fields displayed on the screen with a red asterisk (like the Client_Facing field) that you have not filled in?
After you click the Update button and nothing happens, can you scroll to the top of the Edit Issue dialog to see if an error message is displayed there, like this?
