Sometime in the last few weeks, something seems to have changed for my Jira Cloud instance that makes search completely broken. Regardless of what query I run, if I have new search enabled, I get "There's nothing matching your search". If I switch back to the old search, everything works as I expect. This also seems to have completely broken my Kanban boards which now show no items and there doesn't seem to be a way to get it to use the old search. All the built in filters, including "All Issues" now return no results.
Is there any way I can do anything about this? Some way to force reindexing or something?
Hi @ausmal and welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Can you test this with an incognito tab or a different browser?
I don't have clear information on this problem, but since there are some bugs and items waiting for development in the new issue search feature, I recommend you continue with the old issue search for a while.
Yes, I have tried it from multiple computers. Other users in my project are also seeing the same problem.
I have no problem continuing to use the "old" search feature except for that it also affects my Kanban board, where I now see no work items regardless of whether I have old or new search. I was able to hack around this (see my reply to the other comment), but something is definitely broken.

You don't get any results at all from the new search, no matter what query is used? That's odd.

Of the built in filters, the only thing that has results is the "Viewed recently" filter.
Curiously, I can get other filters to have results if I put "order by lastViewed DESC". This can even be combined in nonsensical ways like "order by key DESC, lastViewed DESC" and then I do get results (ordered by key, like I'd hope).
I can make my Kanban board work again by adding this to the filter it draws from, however, this is all really bizarre.
