Workflow change

Eugene December 5, 2018

My workflow has several projects on it, but workflow has issues itself. I have status "bocked" that i need to change to "blocked" and this status does not have a connection with another statuses, so when i chose blocked i can not change status after that.

Can you please advise how to change workflow if several projects on it?

Hi Eugene,

Welcome to the community.

I think, the easiest way will be to just rename the status blocked to blocked. It will change in all workflows where bocked is used.

If you want to remove a status from an active workflow (a workflow that is used by at least one project), then you have to "deactivate" this workflow first.

The easiest way to achieve this, is in my opinion to copy the existing workflow. Then go to the workflow scheme and replace the original workflow with its copy.

Then go back to workflows. You should find the original workflow in the inactive section. Edit it and you will be able to remove the status.

Then go back to the workflow scheme and re-attach the original workflow. When you publish the changes, there will be probably a wizard to migrate statuses.

Afterwards, you can delete the copy of the workflow because you do not need it any more.
