Hello,

I would like to ask if workflows maximum recommended number (and generally Jira sizing guide) was changed recently.
https://confluence.atlassian.com/enterprise/jira-sizing-guide-461504623.html?_ga=2.214963541.337417514.1560163332-689738280.1531231036
I think it was 35 for 2000 users...

Thank you!

Hi @Iro Karavasili ,

If you ask if this page changed then.. yes. Looking at the older version of this page it was 35 for 2000.

Currently the number for 2000 users is between 80 and 200 so it means that you should be able to have more workflows than it was recommended before. Which is good I think.

@Mirek  Do you know why was this changed? Because from 35 to 80 (minimum) it's a long distance. Just curious... Thanks!

If this increased that is good.. it means that you can now have more object than before and actually it should not affect your current scalling.. Apps are faster and can do more than before. I think that is why..

Atlassian is doing a lot of performance tests now so maybe now there are different results than few years back.

80 is not minimum that you need to achieve to jump into higher scale.. 80 is a lowest maksimum that is recommended. Of course you can have far more bigger instance but only using 35 workflows. That is completly fine. It is just a example of the scale that is probably an avarage number.

Of course it's better to have more 'space' to create workflows!
Thanks @Mirek :)
Have a great day!
