I need information in regards to exporting the data from Cloud Xray and Xporter so that I can restore into the server version.
I do not seem to find options to allow me to backup or export those two applications so that I may restore them into the server version.
Many thanks.
Received answer from support. See below:
"Actually, although Jira does backup all issue information, there is also information in our servers regarding the test specifications, executions etc. that will not be migrated.
We are currently working on a feature that will help you migrate from Xray cloud to Xray server by exporting all Test issue information into a JSON file that can be imported right after the restore was made in Jira server.
We plan to have this feature ready in the November release that should happen near the end of November.
If you can wait until then, you can use this process to restore the Xray information on Jira server.
Otherwise, right now we can provide you with the Test issue definitions (the test steps) in a JSON file. You can then follow these steps to update the Test issues: https://confluence.xpand-it.com/display/XRAY/Tests+-+REST. Notice that this is only for Test cases. All other issues types won't contain any information regarding Xray. Normally only the Test case information is really necessary on a migration."

Please advise on a similar topic.
We are looking for a test management tool for JIRA v6.0.4 - Xray. How can we transfer test cases to a new version of JIRA v7.0.0? Is it possible only in cloud version Xray?
Thank you.

Is it possible to do that now?
