not sure why I am getting this or how to fix it. any suggestions?
Hi Saniya - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
What exactly are you trying to do when you get the error?
My first thought, though, is that you are trying to create a transition from one Done status type to another Done status type. That would not make any sense. Your QA Complete status should probably be an In Progress type status (blue color) and not a Done type status (green color).
Thank you. That made sense. I adjusted it but still getting the same. I am updating workflow.

I find two things strange in this issue:
1. Why is the name of step 48 not resolved into “Resolved”.
2. Why does the error indicate there is a problem with a transition from 48 to QA Complete while in the workflow the transition goes from QA Complete to 48?
@Saniya Ansari Have you made more changes to the workflow?

- not sure what you mean by why is the name of step 48 not resolved? Please clarify
- yeah it is a strange error. I am not sure why either. I havent made any changes.

The error message does not use the name of the state which would be “Resolved” but its id which is 48.
If you haven’t made any changes to the workflow why do you want to publish the workflow? Why not just discarding?

oh thats what you mean. I have made changes to workflow as posted above. It wasnt like this before. There were no transitions at all before for any status.

I would delete the transition from Resolved to QA Complete and then publish it.
If that works, then edit the workflow again to add the transition back in and then publish it again.

yeah thats the funny thing. I never had any transition from Resolved to QA Complete. It was from QA complete to Resolved. Even when i removed that one, i still get the same error. Something funky happening..

Weird. I guess I would try to copy the workflow and make the changes to the Inactive one and then sub it out in the workflow scheme.
