Hi,
I am trying to upgrade "Zephyr for Jira 3.6.2" to "Zephyr 4.0" licence version for our Organisation, So I am trying to get proper upgrade plan and steps, if any one has done this upgrade before please provide some documentation regarding this.
Hi Dinesh,
The upgrade would be performed in the UPM (or Manage add-on) page in Jira. If your instance is able to communicate with the Marketplace, you'll be able to click to update the plugin directly in the UI, or you can manually download the version you want from https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1014681/zephyr-for-jira-test-management/version-history
We have full steps for all upgrade methods here: Updating add-ons
If you have a staging environment, we always recommend testing here first but also taking an XML backup from Jira (or manually backing up the database) before upgrading is recommended.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Keri
Hi Keri.
This page
https://zephyrdocs.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/ZFJ0300/pages/31653912/All+Release+Notes
says that database changes are recommended when upgrading to 3.6.
1. Can you confirm no other changes required for upgrading from 3.6 to 4.0?
2. Does the database change need to be applied when upgrading from 3.2 to 4.0?
(We have a dev server running 3.6 and a production server running 3.2, and I'm trying to plan the upgrade. I'm hoping I won't need to upgrade production from 3.2 to 3.6 with database work and then upgrade to 4.0 via UPM alone.)
