Hi I´m trying to install and evaluate zephy for jira in a stand alone version for a server that has jira version 8.0, is this version supported? Because when i go to the marketPlace I can´t see zephyr for jira as an option or is there an specific version that I need to install of jira in order to use zephyr inside of it?

Thanks,

Hi Juan,

Zephyr is not yet compatible with Jira 8.0. You can go ahead look for QMetry for Jira which is supported to Jira Server 8.0 and provide the end to end test management capabilities. I am personally using it.

Hi Juan,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

According to Zephyr's Marketplace listing, Jira 8.0 is not supported yet.

Thank you for your comments, I´ll be trying both, I´ll downgrade Jira and also try Qmeter.

JIRA 8.0 is now supported

Compatibility

  • This build is compatible with Jira 8.6 which now supports PostgreSQL v10. This was the build released on 30th December 2019.

Manually downloading the .obr file form the Marketplace (under "all versions" select the respective version for Jira 8 compatibility) and upgrading via Jira's "Upload App" functionality (can be found in the "Manage App" view) seems to be valid workaround.

With this approch, we could solve the compatiblity issue for Jira v 8.2.3. Our update path for Zephyr: v 4.0.5.40507892 --> v 5.0.1.50107962.

Thanks I was able to install successfully.  I am having trouble getting the trial license to work - I'll reach out to SmartBear.

Hi @JA ,

Thanks for your post on the community.

As of last week Zephyr for Jira server is now compatible with Jira 8.0x

Thanks,

This is not reflected in Marketplace, it shows compatibility through 7.13.2.  I am looking to upgrade to Jira 8.1 but Zephyr is the sole App which doesn't support it yet.

I have the exact same issue.  This is the second time that Zephyr has forced us to postpone upgrading Jira.

Clarification: we use Jira Data Center, looking to upgrade to 8.1.1.

Hi @Fraser Colmer ,

can you pls. let us know the update procedure from version  4.0.5.40507892 to version 5.0.1.50107962. The latter seems to be compatible with Jira Server 8.0.0 - 8.2.3. However, the upate cannot be triggered as usual from Jira via "Manage Apps".

Many thanks for your help … Alexander

We also have Jira server 8.1 - and were unable to install (this is a fresh install not an upgrade).

We managed to uprade the Plugin by manually downlaoding the .obr file from the Marketplace (under "all versions" select v 5.0.1.50107962). Jira allows you to manually upgrade Plugins by using the "Upload App" functionality, which can be found in the "Manage App" view. With this approch, we could solve the compatiblity issue (our update path: v 4.0.5.40507892 --> v 5.0.1.50107962).
