automation cant edit security level field

Hi, in my configuration a security level exists in a service desk project.  it can be edited manually by my user when viewing issues.

my user is the creator of an automation rule that is supposed to change the security level.

however, for the automation , even though security level appears on the screen, i get an error that the field cant be edited.

im rather sure its around how automation can/t edit the security level (the attlassian add on has the permissions for edit issue and set security level).  since the manual process works, then thats my guess, but i cant really know. and i cant solve this issue! help!! :)

Hi @Ben

I have set up a quick automation, and I can change the security level.

If the user can change manual the level, then he has the correct permission. Who is the actor of the automation? Is he the same? Can you share your rule?

the rule owner had permissions, but not the rule actor. changed and it works.

thanks for drawing my attention to this!!
